Although COMPAC did not name its latest innovation „la banana“, this designation has become the popular name for it in the Italian language, although the fully covered, uninterrupted conveyor belt lift in the shape of a double bend  is brand-new. Yet, curiosity in the industry has been high for quite some time already. So much so that very many industry insiders took a closer look at the innovative and visually attractive conveyor belt lift. This COMPAC product is the result of a two-year design phase.

What makes this new access conveyor belt stand out?

It is things like the 1.2 m/sec speed, the lateral exit on both sides, the linear exit with a new safety slip and the spacious hood with an inside width of two meters (6’7”), made of hot-galvanized steel and polycarbonate. According to the COMPAC team, „This width is measured at the base of the hood. At eye-level, however, it is 2.3 meters or 7’7““. This not only improves transport comfort but also provides winter sports users with a feeling of roominess. The COMPAC hood is characterized by a both stable and lightweight construction which at the same time offers formidable resistance to high wind speeds. Furthermore, the construction of the hood can carry a particularly high snow load.
